Our Top 5 Favorite Coffee Shops

July 11, 2018

If you follow us on social media, you might know that we like coffee.

In fact, that’s a bit of an understatement. We love coffee.

That beautiful caffeinated brown liquid is the lifeblood of productivity, motivation, great ideas, and just overall goodness, and we thought it deserved its time in the limelight.

So, without further adieu, here are our top 5 places to grab a cup!

Hubbard and Cravens

Born and brewed right here in Indianapolis, this local neighborhood chain has four locations throughout Indianapolis. They have a rotating roster of seasonal blends, which makes each time we go there a little bit different. How fun is that!? Our go to location, at 49th & Penn, has become a staple meeting spot. In fact, the 49th & Penn location holds a special place in our hearts, as it was where the idea of LIV Indy was born!

Coatcheck Coffee

This Indy hangout on Mass Ave is located in the Athenaeum inside the Rathskeller Building. It’s a super cool spot, and right across from the beautiful Murat Theatre, so you can sip and get great views, as well! Their egg and sausage quiche is to die for, as is their dark chocolate latte.

Quills Coffee

This is one of those spots you will all of sudden find yourself in for hours on end. You start your weekend promptly at 9 am with a delectable salt caramel latte, with the cream-drawn shape of a dove to boot, and take a seat at one of its many beautiful couches, tables, or conference rooms. As you sip and begin your work, time will seem to fly by, and soon, you’ll be two lattes and a croissant deep. Honestly though, you won’t mind one bit. It’s comfortable, delicious, and the WiFi is crazy fast.

Open Society Public House

One of the latest additions to the Indy coffee house scene, this beautiful new space features not only coffee, but a whole line of dinner and brunch options, as well as wine, beer, and cocktails. And holy moly, are they ALL good. One of our favorites is the Wake & Shake cocktail. Complete with cold brew coffee, brance menta, half & half, demerara, and Black Strap Rum, this is everything you could possibly need on a Saturday or Sunday brunch outing.

Monon Coffee Company

If you’re a pastry person and looking for a good spot for them, say no more fam. Monon Coffee Company has been making them from scratch since ’97. They’re incredible, ‘nuff said. In addition, their coffee is sustainably and fair trade-sourced, so you’re getting goodness in every cup. It’s right by the Monon Trail too, so if you’re the type that likes to stroll and sip, this is your spot.
