The weather is warming up and so is your social calendar! Here’s every event you won’t want to miss in Indy next month.
April 6th – Indy Fuel Game
The Indy Fuel is wrapping up their season in April. All games start at 7:30 PM at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Friday, April 6th is Hoosier Lottery Night, so all guest will be given a free lottery ticket. PLUS beer is $3 and hotdogs are only $1.

April 6th – Indianapolis Indians opening night 7:15 PM
The Indianapolis Indians kick off their season on April 6th with Bike to the Ballpark event. Sun King Brewery hosts a pre-game at their downtown location, then everyone hops on their bikes and burns off some of that beer on their way to the ballpark. The Indians play all summer long and make for inexpensive outdoor activity. Here’s some of their best promotions –
- Firework Friday – a firework show follows every Friday night baseball game
- $1 Monday – hot dogs, peanuts, potato chips, cracker jack & popcorn are all $1
- 2-for-1 Tuesday – Visit any Mcalisters Deli to up a voucher good for two-for-one admission for any Tuesday home game

April 7th – ABA 50th Anniversary Celebration
The Dropping Dimes Foundation is hosting a 50th anniversary celebration for the American Basketball Association. Bob Costas will emcee, and 75-100 players will attend, including stars Artis Gilmore, Rick Barry, Dan Issel, David Thompson, Julius Erving, George Gervin, Spencer Haywood, George McGinnis, Slick Leonard, and Louie Dampier. If you’re a big basketball fan, you won’t want to miss this throwback celebration!
April 7- Uplands 7th Annual Midwest Sour Wild Funk Festival
Are you a fan of sour beers? If you have this strange taste bud phenomenon (no judgement) then this event was made for you! There will be 150+ beers from over 50 breweries from across the country AND A portion of this year’s proceeds will go to the Indiana Wildlife Federation to support their conservation efforts. Nothing like getting drunk for a good cause.
April 14 – Indy Eleven Games
Indy Eleven takes on Nashville SC at Lucas Oil Stadium on April 14. The game begins at 12PM, so grab some brunch and head on over for some soccer. This is the only home game this month, so don’t miss it! Indy Eleven is a young program, but we’re pretty sure they’re on their way to an epic reputation in the MLS.
April 17 – IU vs. Notre Dame Baseball
Big college baseball fan, but not a big enough fan to drive to South Bend/Bloomington? No worries, they understand. Instead, they’re bringing the game to you on April 17th. The Hoosiers will take on the Irish at Victory Field with a 7:00 pm first pitch.
April 20 – Brett Eldredge
Calling all country music fans. The dreamy (and single) Brett Eldredge is playing at the Old National Centre. Give him a follow on social media and maybe, just maybe, he’ll meet up with you for a jalapeño marg at Bakersfield before the concert. We’ll try to put a good work in for ya..
April 21 – 2018 Indianapolis Spring Wine Festival
Finally, a reason to go to our favorite Broad Ripple piano bar before 11pm! Brick House is hosting the 2018 Indianapolis Spring Wine Festival. This two hour wine tasting is accompanied by food specials and wine giveaways! A portion of the proceeds go to local charities & there’s sure to be some great live music!
April 21 – Crawl for Cancer
10 friends. 5 bars. 4 pitchers at each bar. As if this doesn’t already sound perfect enough, the proceeds benefit Little Red Door. There’s also an after party with more beer, music and fun!
April 22 – Brunch Run
Two words… BRUNCH. RUN. (or walk). The Rathskeller is hosting the perfect Sunday morning event. Get a little workout in and then indulge in a complimentary mimosa AND a full brunch. Live music will be going on in the Beirgarten and your entry fee comes with a free shirt!
April 23-29 – Tenderloin Week
If you’re new to Indy, there’s some very important Hoosier heritage you should be aware of – We are the official (according to LIV & the tenderloin Wikipedia page) tenderloin state. Therefore, it’s only right there be a whole week dedicated to the delicious deep fried pork. Restaurants around the state will have tenderloin specials for the entire week. Try them all.. We dare you!!
April 25 – May 13 Wicked
Broadway fans, wicked is coming to town! Opening night is April 25 at 7:30pm. Get your tickets now because they’ll go fast!

April 28 – Beastside Brewfest
The Irvington Community Council is hosting a brewfest 6 months before (or after, you pick) Halloween. Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed! Black Acre, Sun King, Mashcraft, Taxman, Black Circle, and Centerpoint have already confirmed their attendance.
April 28 – Mutt Strutt
Some argue the Indy 500 is the top event of the year at the Motor Speedway, but we think it’s Mutt Strutt, What’s better than puppies!? Bring your furry family member and walk the legendary 2.5 mile track to help the animals at the Indianapolis Humane Society.
April 28 – Roller Derby
No, we’re not kidding.. Indianapolis has a Roller Derby team and it’s unlike any sporting event you’ve ever experienced. Sorry for the foul language, but these women are absolute badasses. Head to the fairgrounds, grab a beer & enjoy some roller derby!
April 28 – Evening in Paris
Evening in Paris is one of hottest tickets of the spring. The event is a bit pricey, but you will not regret it. Ivy Tech has hosted the luxury dining event for 30 years as a fundraiser for student scholarship.
